One of the most popular topics in the realm of hormone therapy today includes treatment options for veterans experiencing Post Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD). Research studies have shown that veterans returning from combat who suffer from PTSD have hormone imbalances that start in the pituitary gland. BioTE Bioidentical Hormone Pellet therapy has been used to optimize these hormones and relieve the symptoms of PTSD in lieu of conventional prescription medication as an effective treatment option.

The BioTE Medical Combat Trauma Team is continuing their efforts to study more about the effects of BioTE hormone treatments, which is our preferred treatment for anyone suffering from hormonal imbalance from various reasons including but not limited to the aging process. The BioTE lab and its researchers are looking for new participants to take part in the continuation of the study which is completely free to veterans who have been discharged, retired, or those who are still serving and feel as if they’re suffering from PTSD or Traumatic Brain Injury (TBI). This study is available in 40 states and includes pellet treatments and lab work.

Meet the Man Behind the Study

Dr. Gary Donovitz MD, the founder of BioTE medical and a well-known gynecologist in Arlington, Texas, leads this progressive study. He has received advanced training in hormone replacement therapy and as an expert in the field. Dr. Donovitz has trained over 1,000 practitioners across the United States, including Dr. Brady here at Women’s Wellness Institute of Dallas. Both Dr. Donovitz and Dr. Brady are enthusiastic in the efforts to broaden the understanding of hormone replacement therapy and how it can improve the lives of men and women worldwide.

Common Uses for HRT

Hormone replacement therapy as a general practice is used predominately in men and women who are experiencing the symptoms of hormonal imbalance due to age.  Significant changes in hormone levels make it hard for patients to adapt as they feel an increase in fatigue and moodiness, a decrease in sex drive, metabolism, energy levels and their overall well-being. At the Women’s Wellness Institute of Dallas, we offer BioTE Bioidentical Hormone Therapy to patients experiencing any of the symptoms associated with hormonal imbalance, regardless of age. Hormone imbalance can affect patients at any phase of life, and it’s important to have a comprehensive set of bloodwork done along with an inventory of symptoms to ensure that hormone optimization occurs and that you are a candidate for treatment.
