Women in the Dallas area who are unhappy with the appearance and/or function of their vagina can benefit from Votiva Vaginal Rejuvenation treatment. This procedure uses the latest heat and radiofrequency technology to optimize the quality of life of patients through improved sexual health and wellness.

What Is Votiva?

Votiva is a bipolar radiofrequency device that gently heats up vaginal tissue, stimulating cell production to rejuvenate both the vagina canal and external genitalia. Since Votiva uses bipolar radiofrequency instead of unipolar radiofrequency like other competitors, it produces faster and better results. What’s more, Votiva eliminates the need for vaginal tightening surgery for women with mild to moderate vaginal laxity.

The entire procedure takes just 30 minutes at our Dallas office. The recommended protocol is three initial treatments 4 weeks apart followed by single annual maintenance treatments.

What Is the Recovery After Votiva?

There is no downtime after the Votiva procedure. Patients resume their normal schedule for the rest of the day. The only restriction is to avoid submerging in hot water for 2 days. There is a chance of some side effects, such as pain, swelling, bruising, or blistering, but this is rare and usually resolves within a few days.

Votiva Frequently Asked Questions

  • What Can I Expect from the Treatment?

Patients can expect to feel a heating sensation during treatment. Results can be felt and seen immediately, with continued results over the following weeks or multiple treatments.

  • Is Votiva Painful?

Votiva is not painful at all for most women. Women who are sensitive can request a topical anesthetic to ease discomfort.

  • Is There Downtime with Votiva?

Depending on the intensity of the treatment, there is little to no downtime. Most patients may have slight discomfort during and immediately after treatment. Some patients will experience no discomfort at all.

  • How Many Sessions are Required to See Results?

Your physician will determine the best treatment plan for you. The majority of patients have 2-3 sessions; however, most notice a difference after only 1 treatment. The number of sessions depends on your treatment concerns, your personal goals, and if you plan to use a combination treatment or a single treatment approach.

  • How Long Do Results Last?

Patients can expect their results to last for about 9 to 18 months. Therefore, a single annual maintenance treatment is recommended to prolong the positive benefits of vaginal rejuvenation with Votiva.

  • Is Votiva FDA Cleared? What is it Cleared for?

Yes. Votiva is a safe and effective treatment for feminine health. Votiva is beneficial for therapeutic use in the treatment of sexual dysfunction or as an adjunct to Kegel exercises (tightening of the muscles of the pelvic floor to increase muscle tone).
